Celebrating Success: Channeling Certification and Professional Growth

In a remarkable turn of events, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. Recently, my “Learn to Channel” course—a unique blend of mediumship and channeling—has been officially recognized as a certified modality by the International Institute of Complementary Therapies (IICT). This accreditation allows the course to be recognized for professional membership and insurance across Australia, New Zealand, the US, UK, Europe, and Canada. It’s a monumental achievement that reflects years of dedication and passion for teaching and practicing the art of channeling.

The Journey to Certification

The path to certifying a modality like channeling hasn’t been easy. Unlike more analytical and structured practices, channeling is deeply intuitive and spiritual. Yet, with over 20 years of experience teaching Reiki, I was able to develop a robust set of standards that IICT acknowledges. This certification paves the way for my students to practice professionally, providing them with the necessary protection and credibility to make a real impact.

Balancing Passion and Practicality

This journey has brought a significant shift for me. While Reiki has been a cornerstone of my practice, I found my passion leaning increasingly toward channeling. Often, running a business means making difficult choices that don’t always align with personal fulfillment, and I started to feel that my business decisions were more driven by logic than passion.

It was incredibly validating when my husband pointed out that the returns for my hard work were dwindling. After months of reflection and countless conversations, I made a choice to step into a new role at a chiropractor’s office. This part-time position has granted me the financial stability to refocus my energy on channeling—a practice I deeply love—without the pressure to monetize my passion.

Innovating Through Challenges

The evolution of my business has been profound, especially in response to challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic. Transitioning from in-person workshops to online training required immense effort and adaptation, yet this shift also brought a fresh perspective on how I teach and engage with my students.

Recently, I decided to reach out to IICT about the possibility of certifying my channeling course. The enthusiasm and support I received during this process were overwhelming and provided newfound direction. By blending structured elements with intuitive teachings, I’ve created a curriculum that ensures students receive comprehensive and professional training.

Future Endeavors and Opportunities

Looking forward, I am filled with excitement about the upcoming updates in our course offerings. With our certification now approved, students will have the opportunity to gain certification and conduct professional readings under the legal protection and guidance of an authoritative body like IICT. This advancement uplifts the quality of practice and provides practitioners with a greater sense of security.

In collaboration with Fiona, a dear friend and former student, we’re also developing pathways for current and past students to enhance their skills and certifications. This initiative will launch soon, with a goal of fully updating our certification programs by 2025.
